Overheard Conversation
Last Wednesday Cliff took the day off work and we drove down to Ottawa to get our Australian Visa completed. While we were at the counter getting everything processed we asked the person that was helping us if there was any place in Ottawa where we could go to get information or if she could think of anything that our exchange partners might need in order to make their transition into Canadian culture easier. At which point the woman beside us piped up and said in a thick Australian accent.."A COAT!"
So as we get ready to make the transition into an Australian summer, you can be sure that I will take this womans comment to heart. Our winter things will remain in our closet for this couple to use when they arrive and encounter the Canadian winter; Hats, gloves, scarves, touques and especially a coat.

What timing!! You are very thoughtful to take that woman's comment to heart Karen.
Great idea!! Our Canadian winter weather is going to be a shocker for them. I wonder what their New Year's resolution will be after arriving??
Oh boy!
It could be quite an adjustment for them!
Funny Karen but also great idea to let them use your warmer clothes until they can maybe make a few purchases of their own. I pray it will be a mild winter for them (and us too)!!!!
H.
How exciting for you all!
It will be great to shed those winter coats and leave them behind.
How bout a snow shovel too!
