Lately, its seems that every piece of clothing Kira tries on is too small. She just has that extra bit of leg sticking out the bottom of her pants and the same with her arms in her sleeves.This week I finally concluded that she has grown up a size (finally). So, it is time to sort out her clothes. I told her we needed to leave all her size three pants in Australia and we will find some new size fours for her to wear.

This week I have also noticed something similar happening in Keegan and Calia. No, their school uniforms are not getting too small. (they wear shorts to school most days).There are other changes happening with them. I have noticed that their confidence is enlarging, their leadership skills are developing and their interpersonal skills are evolving. My kids are are growing.

When we first were considering the exchange we really thought about how this would effect the kids. Would they be able to adjust? Would they be able to make friends? Would school be a positive experience for them?

Well, through the first two terms of school they have, made new friends, learned new skills and sports, been a student leader, represented their school on the sports field, been interviewed on stage by the principal infont of hundreds of parents, performed in their schools musical, learned a new language, met many new adults and children, tried new foods and actually like them and the list goes on.

I think the answer to all those questions we had at the beginning of the exchange is a resounding YES! Keegan and Calia have adjusted well to life here. School has been a postive experience for them and they will take these new skills and confidences back to Canada with them. I am so proud of them.

Now I need to head out the stores and find some new clothes for Miss Kira, size four and fives.
