Hello Again,
Today was amazing. We arrived at the Tree Top Resort and the staff asked us to sit and they served us a full breakfast and then led us to our room by the river. All you can hear is the river. After resting and a shower, we went for a little explore of the Visitor Centre. We asked for lunch at about 12:00. When we arrived, our table was prepared and they seated us and brought our traditional Thai noodles, rice and soup quickly. It is different to have people to willing and desiring to serve you. For dessert they offered a large plate of prepared local fruit. (Even daddy was full.) Then they asked when we would like to go for our canoe ride. We told them when but had no idea what to expect. We ended up in a inflatable canoe and floated for 2 hours down a river through the rain forest of Thailand. We saw a few snakes but our guide (Bah - 16) assured us that even though they were poisonous, they were not deadly. We continued down the river and saw a few men making bamboo rafts in the river and noted some power lines strung up on bamboo poles across the river to supply electricity to the scattered tree houses (literally). At one stretch, the rapids were quite large and we got soaked - Bah was laughing the entire way down as were we. After we were picked up we stopped by a monkey temple where numerous monkeys feed on the leftovers of the Buddhist Monks. We returned to our bungalow to see two monkeys in a tree just outside the door. Everything is so green and lush here and you can feel the difference in the air quality in comparison to Bangkok. We plan to have dinner and then a quiet evening around the bungalow. Everything is so open here... no walls on any common areas.
Until next time.. luv y'all

I can just picture you now Karen, on the inflatable canoe, hearing about the poisonous (but not deadly!) snakes...haha. Sounds like a lot of fun, you have some similar stories to John's from India. You can compare notes.
That's it from me, I should probably get back to work. Oh, and my siblings forgot to mention that I was at campfire on Friday night for about 30 minutes (i was in London doing a trial run of my wedding hair-do).
see you soon!
