On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me.........a turkey in an Elm tree.

Yesterday a flock of Turkeys made the mistake of wandering into our yard while the kids and the dog were outside. Don't think they will be coming back soon. We never knew those birds could fly so fast or so high, we were hoping we would catch one for Christmas dinner but no such luck.

2010 Highlights (just a few)

• getting used to the snow, cold and driving on the right.
• enjoying the Canadian seasons
  
• getting our new puppy Jack
• Keegan turning 12
• Calia turned 9
• Kira turned 6 and in grade 1
• family camping trips
• Cliff getting a purple mohawk courtesy of his students
• spending time with friends both old and new
  
• spontaneous hikes and beach trips
• Kira learning to read
  
• Calia dancing in The Nutcracker
• Keegan learning to play musical instruments like trumpet, drums, guitar. This could inspire his parents to make a soundproof room in the basement
  
• Keegan and Cliff's week long Algonquin Camping adventure
• visits with the cousins
• overnighting at Grandma's house
• coffee with Nana and Papa
• visiting Uncle Tim and Uncle Hugh's farm. Now the kids want to put a chicken coop in the backyard
• Calia and Karen's overnight campout,"Girls Rule!"
