One of my favorite things about being on an exchange with the family is that we have had the opportunity to try new things, explore places and meet new people. This past weekend all the exchange teachers in Victoria were invited to South Gippsland for two days of fun hosted by the local ITF branch. We had an amazing time and had the chance to reconnect with the other exchange teachers and their families. Some of the things we did included hiking along the coast, visiting a Koala sanctuary and Surfing lessons. The hightlight for us though was being hosted by a local family in Inverloch. Brett and Sylvia and their kids Emily and Adam. They lived right beside the surf beach so their kids had grown up on the water. Emily loved to surf and had her own pink surf board of which my two girls thought was really cool. Keegan spent hours out in the water with Adam, surfing, boogie boarding and skim boarding. Here are a few little pictures of our weekend.
These are just a few of the highlights from the weekend. Got much more to write about including surfing.....yes, there are pictures. So once again, there will be more to come.
